Firm Foundation celebrates 5 years of ministry all through the month of August 2007.
Firm Foundation has accomplished many things in five years. In 2003, FFQ was named Kentucky State Quartet of the Year at the Ky State Fair. In January 2004, Zion Music Group signed FFQ to their first major recording contract on the Mercy Records label. Their first radio single, "When I Lay My Burdens Down", went #1 on God's Country Gospel Chart, #16 on The European Country Chart, and #32 on GloryTrain's Southern Gospel Chart. Their first major studio album, For Another Day, was released on Sept. 1st, 2004. Their single, 'Talkin' 'bout Faith', a song written by Christlike's Daniel Anderson was the first single from their sophomore project. Firm Foundation is quickly becoming a staple in the Midwest in the southern gospel industry. Firm Foundation recently signed to the Homeland Entertainment Label family in October of 2007, landing them on the Riversong record label.
The '06 album entitled "Good To Know"
was praised by southern gospel industry critics. Released in June of 2006, the
project received 4 STARS from sogospelnews.com. Songs from such famed
songwriters such as Dianne Wilkinson, Patti Hawkins, and Ann Downing completed
the project throughout. The song "Something Better In Mind", written
by Janene Dubbeld, and the only radio
single release from the album, was named one of the Top 37 songs of the year by
the Gospel Music Association and was placed on the Dove Award preliminary ballot
for Southern Gospel Recorded Song of the Year. Jeff Collins of Crossroads Music
Group produced which has sold more copies than all Firm Foundation's previous
projects combined.
Firm Foundation does music each year for the Annual Yelvington Camp Meeting, now in it's 111th year.
Firm Foundation now performs over 230 dates annually across the country. They have taken their music to the Caribbean, Mexico, and are currently making plans to travel to Canada and Europe in 2008.
